Dustjackets for the two-volume 1906 first edition of Lord Randolph Churchill are, to say the least, rare. Indeed, up until now they were known only for the UK edition, and expert opinion went no further than asserting the existence of two and a half sets. That's a grand total of five jackets.
I am delighted to announce that visitors can now get a first look at the only jackets known so far for the US edition. They came to light recently at auction, and images have been kindly provided by their new owner, one of our regular contributors, Marc Kuritz. These jackets are not fine, and they are not complete - but they do have two other unsurpassable qualities. They are unique and they are beautiful.
